What an evening! The Taste of West Seattle was truly a night to remember. Attendees filled the Hall at Fauntleroy to enjoy all the delicious food and drink, play fun games, sing along with the Piano Guy, and support their neighbors. The tastes and sips offered by 35 local food and beverage providers were absolutely divine - it was so hard to pick our favorites!

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Taste, presented by Metropolitan Market, raised over $57,000! This is enough to keep more than 160 families safe and stable in their homes while they recover from unexpected hardship.

Between tastes attendees could strike poses in the photo booth, sponsored by PCC Community Markets. With plenty of props to choose from, guests got silly and creative! Our wonderful photo booth photographer, Michael B Maine, ensured every pose was captured to perfection!

This year might’ve been one of our best raffles, with prizes including tickets on Alaska Airlines, tickets on Southwest Airlines, a Canlis gift card, and Sports Package! Thank you to Alaska Airlines for being our raffle sponsor! Our balloon pop was also a hit again this year.

Executive Director, Erin Dury Moore, gave a rousing speech about the West Seattle Helpline’s work to prevent homelessness and the recent legislative wins that will help. Did you know that eviction is a leading cause of homelessness in Washington state? For an average of $350 per family, the West Seattle Helpline prevents eviction and stops homelessness before it starts.
