New Staff Update

We are SO thrilled to welcome two new members to our team this summer: Theresa Sundin and Marti Spicer!

Theresa started in June as our new volunteer coordinator, spreading the word about volunteer opportunities and making sure our AMAZING volunteers have everything they need to help our neighbors. A true Jill-of-all-trades, she has also helped run community events, improve our programs, launched new content on social media, and more. She is brand new to Seattle, coming to us from Beaverton, Oregon, is a die-hard fan of the Portland Trailblazers basketball team, and an impressive water polo player. Thanks to Theresa for her hard work, positivity, sense of humor, and for being a great addition to the team!

Marti joined the WSH team in July as our Program Coordinator. She comes to us through the Companis program, which places caring, experienced professionals with non-profit organizations to help them expand their impact. Marti processes applications for assistance, referrals to valuable community resources, and administering support to help keep our neighbors in their homes while recovering from crisis. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to caring for those in need makes her a perfect fit for our work. She’s also an avid backpacker and an award-winning occupational therapist with over 20 years of practice. Thanks to Marti for helping us help our neighbors!
