Rent & Utility Assistance
If you have limited income, an unexpected crisis or financial hardship can be devastating. We provide one-time emergency assistance to keep our neighbors from falling into the cycle of poverty. Our support helps members of our community stay safe in their homes and keeps the lights on and the water running. Our application for financial assistance is available to West Seattle and White Center residents in the following zip codes: 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136, and 98146.
Whether it’s a medical appointment, a job interview, or trip taking the kids to school, our transportation assistance program helps you get where you need to go. In partnership with King County Metro, we provide packs of bus tickets our neighbors who meet the income requirements (must be below 138% of the federal poverty level). Our application for transportation assistance is available to community members experiencing homelessness and to West Seattle and White Center residents in the following zip codes: 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136, and 98146.
At our free clothing store, “The Clothesline,” we offer the chance to shop for new and like-new clothing. Our store has selections for infants, children, teens, and adults, including specialized clothing such as school uniforms and professional attire for job interviews. Scheduling an appointment is easy and the Clothesline is open to anyone in the Seattle metropolitan area.
