Our strategic location next to the Highpoint community of West Seattle within the same building as the West Seattle Food Bank allows us to be more visible to community members that need our services.  The 2000 census data identifies West Seattle as one of the highest need neighborhoods in King County. At that time, 18.5% of children in West Seattle were living below the poverty line, more than eight times the King County data.  As such, the slightest income decline or interruption can have a tremendously negative impact on these families.
